1. General

These Terms and Conditions apply to all events, workshops, concerts, conferences, and educational activities (“Events”) organised by the Jewish Music Institute (JMI), a registered UK charity. By registering for or attending a JMI Event, you agree to these Terms.

2. Registration and Fees

  • Advance registration is required for ticketed or capacity-limited Events.
  • Fees (where applicable) must be paid in full before participation.
  • JMI reserves the right to refuse entry if payment has not been received or registration is incomplete.

3. Ticket Refunds and Transfers

  • Tickets are non-refundable unless the Event is cancelled or rescheduled by JMI.
  • If you are unable to attend, you may request a ticket transfer to another person by contacting JMI at least 48 hours before the Event. Transfers are subject to approval and availability.
  • In exceptional circumstances, refund requests may be considered at JMI’s discretion.

4. Changes and Cancellations

  • JMI reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify Events due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will notify attendees promptly and offer refunds or alternative arrangements where appropriate.

5. Age and Supervision

  • Some Events may have age restrictions. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise stated.
  • Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision of minors attending JMI Events.

6. Health and Safety

  • Attendees participate at their own risk. If you have any medical conditions that may affect your participation, please consult a healthcare professional beforehand.
  • JMI will take reasonable steps to ensure safety but cannot accept liability for personal injury, loss, or damage unless caused by our negligence.

7. Liability Limitations

  • JMI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from participation in its Events, including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation, or personal arrangements.
  • JMI accepts no responsibility for the actions or conduct of third-party facilitators, performers, or venues.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits JMI’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

8. Photography and Media

  • JMI may photograph or record Events for promotional and archival purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your image or voice unless you notify us in advance.
  • If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please inform a member of staff upon arrival.

9. Code of Conduct

  • JMI is committed to creating a respectful and inclusive environment. All attendees are expected to treat others with kindness and consideration.
  • Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the Event without refund.

10. Intellectual Property

  • Materials shared during Events (e.g. handouts, recordings, presentations) are the property of JMI or the presenter and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

11. Data Protection

  • Personal data collected during registration will be handled in accordance with JMI’s Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws.
  • We may contact you with information about future JMI activities unless you opt out.
