Klezfest 2025

We’re thrilled to announce the return of Klezfest this summer, in a vibrant three-day format that reflects both your voices and our shared commitment to keeping this tradition alive.
Following a warm and passionate response from the community, we’ve brought back Klezfest 2025 in a reduced, intimate edition—designed to offer meaningful musical connection, deep learning, and joyful community spirit. Whether you’re a returning participant or joining for the first time, this is your chance to be part of something special.

The programme kicks off with registration on Tuesday 19 August at 4pm, followed by a Welcome Gathering, a session with the Yiddish Choir led by Zalmen Mlotek and Polina Shepherd, and a lively Jam Session into the night. Workshops run from Wednesday to Friday (20–22 August), and as always, Klezfest will be packed full of opportunities to learn, play, sing, dance, and connect from 10am until late each day. The programme includes Klezmer Orchestra, Yiddish Dance with Sayumi Yoshida, Nigunim and Repertoire Sessions, Evening Jams and Socials

We’re proud to welcome a fantastic faculty this year, led by Artistic Director Susi Evans, with guest artist Alan Bern, and joined by the talented and knowledgeable John MacNaughton and Anna Lowenstein.
At the end of the course, we’ll host a community panel and focus group to gather your feedback, ideas, and visions for the future of Klezfest. Your voice matters in shaping what comes next. Refund policy:

10% deducted if cancelled before 1 June
25% deducted if cancelled after 1 July.
50% deducted  if cancelled after 1 August.
