Tai Rona

Multidisciplinary sound artist and composer
Tai Rona is a DJ, composer, music producer, and cultural entrepreneur who lives and creates between Tel Aviv and Amuka.
Much like his movement between the rural and the urban, Tai’s main interest and craft lie in the transitions between human states of aggregation and consciousness — whether between waking and dreaming, sprawling wide and ecstatic dancing, or between the abstract and the most figurative and exact. Tai began his career with DJ sets at Tel Aviv’s top nightclubs, eventually performing at prestigious festivals across Europe, including Dekmantel, Fusion, and Boom. In recent years, he has expanded his creative practice across multiple mediums.
He is producing and performing full electronic live sets internationally, composing original film scores (The Man with the Movie Camera, commissioned by the Old Jaffa Development Company), and creating music for contemporary dance, collaborating with choreographers such as Shahar Binyamini, and Bat Sheva Dance Company. Beyond his work as a musician, Tai developed, established, and curates Sprawl—an immersive art and music event described as “music to dream with.” Featuring a seamless audiovisual journey from dusk to dawn, Sprawl has been hosted in Tokyo, Ibiza, the Golan Heights, Milan, and the Tel Aviv Museum.
